Burner Of The Month


Throughout my life, I had always been an active person. I grew up playing soccer and would spend countless hours a week at practices, games, or traveling for tournaments. As I got older, I became burnt out which ultimately led to me quitting the sport my senior year of high school. Once college hit, I found it harder to stay active and fell into bad routines of eating poorly, going out frequently, and not exercising.

After college, I decided it was time to make a change. My mental health was suffering, and I wasn’t happy with myself. I tried the local chain gyms, the at home fitness apps and workout plans, you name it, but nothing stuck.

Then I found Ultimate Workout. I was given a free trial, joined immediately after and haven’t looked back since. I found myself back in the gym 3-4 times a week consistently and eventually got my nutrition back on track. I was happier and healthier. I felt comfortable, accepted, and welcomed at UW and because of that, chose to workout up until I welcomed my beautiful baby boy in September.

Being a mom is the best thing that’s happened to me, but it also the most challenging physically and mentally. My body had changed and was unfamiliar to me. I was constantly taking care of a tiny human but forgot to take care of myself. UW allowed me to take care of myself again, even if it is just for an hour a day, a few times a week.

Because of UW I am gaining back my confidence, mentally on track, and accepting who this new me is.
