Last fall I was doing serious research to decide on stem cell injections or to wait until January to get a full knee replaced. I couldn’t run, I could barely jump and the day after I played sand volleyball I could barely walk. I was 255 pounds, the heaviest I’ve ever been, and heading into winter where I normally throw on an additional ten pounds.
After saying no several times, I was convinced to go to an Ultimate Workout class. I figured I’d either blow out my knee or I’d get in shape. Honestly, I couldn’t be more impressed with Ultimate Workout. The staff is incredible. From day one everyone has been welcoming and extremely encouraging. The instructors know when to push you and when to back off. The workouts change everyday and every week and the equipment is top of the line (my knee hurts on other treadmills, but not here). I used to hate working out.
Long story short, I was just overweight 😳. I have dropped 25 pounds in 35 days and I feel great, with more energy than I’ve had in a long time. My clothes fit better, my face looks thinner and I saw an ab muscle that’s been hiding for too long. I figured I’d try UW once and now I think I’m a lifer. Hopefully I’ve seen my last winter gain and I’m done winning weight loss competitions!
